Rockwell Unitized Oil Seal, 3.125" ID x 4.5" OD is commonly found on axles with a #12K/16K spindle. Unitized seals are a two part seal, the inner portion stays fixed to the spindle and the outer portion rotates with the hub. This type of seal provides more surface contact with the spindle which creates a better seal with less wear and tear.
OIL SEALS are such an integral part to keeping the hub lubricated and free from contaminants it is important to make sure they are always in working condition. Every time a hub is removed from the spindle it is important to, at the very least inspect but if possible replace the grease seal.
